I’m Hunter.

I grew up in Iron County. Spent a lot of time outside, worked hard, and learned early that good things don’t get wasted if you can help it. That’s still how I operate.

I’ve been in the sawmill industry for about 13 years now. Running mills, managing operations, turning logs into lumber that people actually build things with. It never gets old, honestly. There’s something about the smell of fresh-cut wood and watching a pile of lumber stack up at the end of a long day that just… keeps you coming back.

When I’m not milling, I work in EMS as an EMT. Helping people and showing up for the community has always been part of who I am, whether that’s on a job site or on a call at 2 in the morning. Around here, word travels fast and your reputation is everything. I believe honesty, fairness, and showing up when you say you will still matter. That’s not a marketing line. That’s just how I was raised.

Here’s the Thing About Good Wood

It just doesn’t sit right watching something valuable go to waste when you know exactly what it could become.

I’ve seen it more times than I can count. A solid oak gets cut up for firewood. A big maple gets left to rot in the field. And the whole time I’m thinking, that could’ve been a dining table someone passes down to their kids. That could’ve been the beams in somebody’s barn. That could’ve been something.

So when I come out to your property, I’m not just running a sawmill. I’m trying to make sure good wood, and good opportunities, don’t get wasted when they didn’t have to be. That matters to me. Maybe more than it should.

No Runaround. Just Honest Work.

When you reach out, you’re going to get a real conversation, not a sales pitch. Tell me what you’ve got, where you’re located, and what you’re thinking about building. I’ll tell you whether it’s worth milling, what kind of lumber you might get out of it, and what it’ll take to make it happen.

Most jobs go something like this:

N

You reach out

with a description of your logs and your location
N

We talk through it

species, size, condition, and what you’re hoping to build
N

I come to you

the mill comes to your property, no hauling, no hassle
N

We get to work

clean, efficient, done right
N

You walk away

with lumber you’re proud of and a clear conscience about not burning something that had a lot more life in it
One of the best parts of this job has been meeting good people and helping them turn the trees on their property into something they’ll use for years. That part never gets old either.
